Job Description
Financial Record-Keeping 1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries. 2. File and store financial documents, both physical and digital, in a secure and organized manner. Accounts Payable and Receivable 1. Process and record invoices, credit notes, and debit notes for accounts payable and receivable. 2. Verify and reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. 3. Follow up on outstanding payments from guests, suppliers, and partners. General Ledger and Journal Entries 1. Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions, such as income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity. 2. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations 1. Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. 2. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in bank and credit card statements. Reporting and Analysis 1. Prepare financial reports, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reports. 2. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Compliance and Audit 1. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations. 2. Assist with internal and external audits, providing financial data and documentation as required. Other Responsibilities 1. Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including data entry, filing, and photocopying. 2. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to data protection policies. 3. Stay up-to-date with accounting software and systems, attending training sessions as required.
